The Bad Gobert

𝐓𝐔𝐄𝐒𝐃𝐀𝐘 𝐐𝐔𝐈𝐂𝐊 𝐇𝐈𝐓𝐒

🏀STREAMERS-SHORT TERM ADDS

✔ AJ GRIFFIN- DeAndre Hunter missed today's game with an illness and the rookie got the start. Coming off his game winner, he impressed with 17P and 3S. I'd plug him in again if Hunter misses another game but after that, he can be dropped again.

✔ CEDI OSMAN- Kevin Love played through his thumb fracture which was a surprise but he was clearly not himself. Love can be dropped and I'd go with the hot Prince Cedi. This guy's streaky so ride the tide right now as he's scored 21.5 in his last 2 with 7 3s.

✔ TERRENCE ROSS/ GARY HARRIS- I'd monitor the situation in Orlando and wait for updates on Chuma Okeke and Jalen Suggs who both dealt with injuries today. Okeke's seem to be more serious and if Paolo Banchero and WCJ can't return yet in their next game, lots of minutes will be available. These vets are not perfect fantasy prospects but could be stream-worthy in the right situation.

✔ TJ McCONNELL- Got more minutes with Andrew Nembhard out today. And if Nembhard misses another game, go to TJM for assists and steals. Don't expect points and 3s- today was fluky.

✔ JOSE ALVARADO- I've mentioned him before and I'll say his name again- if you are thinking of adding TJM, I'd go for Alvarado instead. He's more consistent and gives almost the same stats, with little less assists. Trey Murphy's still out so he could get more minutes as a result. Also give a look to NAJI MARSHALL as a streamer.

✔ ALEX CARUSO- He's in and out of lineups maybe because you get sucked into him for his stocks and then you see the shooting splits and lack of points and drop him again. But Goran Dragic tweaked his shoulder today though he did return to the game- if he misses any time, Caruso will be a decent add in 14T leagues

✔ PAT CONNAUGHTON- Played his first game and is someone to monitor closely. Khris Middleton should be back soon also so the rotation of the Bucks could get muddled but we know what Connaughton can do so it's worth monitoring his minutes in the next games.

✔ SHAEDON SHARPE- Bad game from him today but he started and got 26 minutes as the Dame replacement. He's a pure streamer who will give points and 3s only.

✔ JERICHO SIMS- Mitch Robinson left today's game again with 'soreness in his knee' so we are back to the Hartenstein-Sims timeshare for now. Sims has outplayed Hartenstein to my surprise and is worth a look in deep formats for rebounds/blks/FG.

✔ QUENTIN GRIMES- I'd still put him in the streamer department for now. His defense on SGA was good today and he got 33 minutes again. I'd have to see what happens when Cam Reddish returns but for now, you can roll the dice with Grimes.

✔ TALEN HORTON TUCKER- Limited to 20 minutes off the bench as Collin Sexton got the bulk of PG minutes but THT is still the guy I'd own between the two. He is more versatile and can help in more categories so as long as he's getting 20+ minutes, can be a 14T league player till Conley returns.

😢 WORRIES

✔ RUDY GOBERT- How can an All-Star center get 31 minutes and 0 FG attempts? He got 3.8% usage rate today- that's not a typo. Even Usman Garuba gets more. For all the heat Donovan Mitchell got for not passing the ball enough, I think Anthony Edwards has passed the ball less to Gobert.

✔ BUDDY HIELD- A guy that's notoriously streaky and it seems like his shot has abandoned him the past few games. He was 3/13 today and 1/10 from 3 point range. His assists rate has also slowed down in the past week. But as long as he is starting in Indiana, he should be given all the chances and minutes to snap out of this, I'm not that worried about him.

✔ZION WILLIAMSON- I'm worried about Zion's outlook this season and I'm talking about his health. He has been scoring well, despite today's 9 point dud which I forgive him for it's a blowout, but everything else has been down across the board. He's rebounding rate, FG% are all down and we haven't even talked about his poor FT% and lack of stocks. For someone picked in the top 50, there are just too many holes in his game for him to hit his draft spot.

✔ DEJOUNTE MURRAY- He has averaged 16P 5R 5A and 1S in the past 4 games while shooting less than 40% from the field. He's also the 139th player in that span. It's a slump but the important part is his usage rate has not gone down, the minutes are also still there. He'll break out of it- and this might be a good chance to snag him from his owner if he is worried.

✔MARCUS SMART- He mentioned that he would need to miss games due to his foot inflammation. This is not the best news for his owners as it could mean him going in and out of the IL+ It also means Derrick White should probably be held in 14T leagues and up.

✔AYO DONSUNMU- He started the season well but has slowed down significantly. He is still inside the top 150 but it is on the back of his pretty good efficiency. He's more suited to Roto formats because of low counting stats and no stocks.

✔MARCUS MORRIS- We knew the minutes would go down when Kawhi returns and even the absence of Paul George today didn't help him. I'd give him another game but you have to get ready to drop him soon as the Clippers get their stars back.

✔ ISAIAH HARTENSTEIN- Even with Mitch Rob getting injured, I think we can move on from Hartenstein at this point. He's been limited and usage is also down- it's not a good situation for him in New York right now.

🔥 STUDS OF THE DAY-

✔ JALEN BRUNSON- 13/13 from the 2 point range today which is remarkable for a point guard. He is quietly in the top 30 this season with averages of 20P 3.5R 6A 1.2S. What's better is he is one of the best in Assts-TO ratio among PGs as he only turns the ball over 1.7 times.

✔ BRANDON INGRAM- Fresh from getting SG eligibility from Yahoo, Ingram also balled out today with 34P 7/7 FTs and 3 steals. He is averaging 30P in his last 2 games with 8 3s and 5S total. It's as good a time to sell high on him given his long injury history and possibility of Zion and CJM crowding him for usage in New Orleans.

✔ KAT- While Gobert struggled, KAT almost triple doubled. It seems like we can see how this partnership is going to go at this point. It's not been a seamless adjustment period but KAT's righted his ship and is now nearing first round value. He's probably going to stay in the 12-15 range for the rest of the season.
